Sorry to hear you had such a crappy experience. Not sure how much you've been to Troxy generally, but if this was your first time, I'm sorry to say that the transportation issues aren't just marathon-related.

I've been to a midweek show there with no support act where they made everyone wait around two hours after doors (because they hadn't communicated the set time until you were inside) with no food and only their poor selection of ridiculously-priced drinks on offer. By the time the show ended, it was tricky trying to get back to a tube station from there meaning everyone rushed to the bus stop just down the road -- apart from a handful of people getting Ubers, pretty much every gig-goer was trying to get on that bus back into the centre of town. You can imagine how that went.

I know a lot of gig venues are struggling right now and I'm generally minded to support them a lot of the time, but this kind of experience made me feel like they were taking the piss. Even before the return journey mess I'd decided I wasn't going to buy a single drink there and will do my best not to go to a gig there again.

Apologies for the long rant... reading about your experience brought all this back to me -- wanted to let you know you're not alone on these things and also warn you that Troxy seems to be a poor experience marathon or no

That's HORRIFIC oh my God...This was my first time and I'm not going back even though I really want to see Sunset Rollercoaster there next month 😂 Just not worth the shitshow. I also felt like they were trying to chuck people out as quickly as possible after the concert, so there were thousands of us pushing each other and crowding into a narrow front street, which meant we were sort of forced into traffic. Huge safety hazard all around. Thank you for sharing I'm glad I'm not being too dramatic about this!!

Yeah, had the same issues at the end as well -- people spilling out into the road with seemingly no plan on how to deal with them there. On top of the aforementioned transportation mess. Definitely not just you!

"You never know how strong you are until you've been to a show" 😭😭 The image of everyone sprinting to the partition and then sheepishly shuffling back while the next song plays is genuinely sending me. Sorry about the rear stalls but at least the chaos gave us this piece 😄
